Vikingecenter Fyrkat

Experience the life of the Vikings when Harald Bluetooth was King of Denmark. He built the ring fortress at Fyrkat in 980AD. The raised embankments mark where the fortress used to lie, surrounding 16 longhouses. One of these is reconstructed nearby.

Not far from there, you find the Viking farmstead which consists of nine reconstructed houses constituting a large Viking property. In the summer, the farmstead is the setting for various Viking activities.
